An Evening in Oz was held on April 22 in the Chantilly Ballroom of the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Continuing with tradition, pediatric cancer patients and sur- vivors enjoyed entertainment and dinner backstage prior to walk- ing the runway in their fashions with their celebrity escorts, who included Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. This year’s inaugural gala event raised over $900,000 for pediatric cancer research. The event raised almost $100,000 to support learning op- portunities at the Village for stu- dents and adults. MAD HATTER'S TEA The Women’s Council of the Dal- las Arboretum and Botanical Gar- den celebrated its 28th Annual Mad Hatter’s Tea. The Steel Mag- nolias themed event was held on April 21 at the Dallas Arboretum. Over 500 guests were treated to a band of musicians playing New Orleans-style jazz, a delicious lunch of Southern recipes and many wild and wonderful over- the-top hats.
